About the PDF tools
PDF is the format documents end up in when they need to look the same everywhere — contracts, statements, scans, forms, reports. It is also a format most people cannot edit, which is why the same handful of jobs come up constantly: combine several files into one, pull a few pages out, drop a blank page, shrink a scan that is too big to email, turn a sideways scan the right way up, or get a page into a place that only accepts images. These tools cover exactly those jobs.
Every tool here runs inside your browser using two open-source libraries: pdf-lib, which reads and writes PDF structure, and PDF.js, the rendering engine built into Firefox. Your file is opened in memory on your own device, processed, and offered back as a download. It is never uploaded — which matters when the document is a bank statement, a medical record or an ID. Once the page has loaded, the tools work with the internet switched off.
Most operations — merge, split, extract, delete, reorder, rotate, crop, resize, watermark, add page numbers, edit metadata, unlock, compact — copy pages as objects rather than redrawing them, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged. Two tools deliberately rasterize instead: Compress PDF re-renders pages as JPEG images to get scans small, and PDF to JPG produces images by design.
